Excellent fun - long time to inflate and deflate
We purchased 2 of these human hamster balls, and they have both braved two birthday parties for 7 year olds. Both balls are still fully functional with no holes. The balls will start to deflate a little after some torment and abuse, but they air back up with no problem. We have rolled them across concrete and whatever else you might find in a yard. The plastic is super thick. I will say that it takes a LOOOONNNNNGGGG time to air them up. Each section of the ball has to be aired up individually. I used a small air compressor, and it still took me about an hour to air up each ball. It doesn't take quite as long to deflate them, but you won't be able to get all of the air out; which makes for a difficult time trying to store them somewhere. It is cheaper to purchase these balls than it was for me to rent them for 2 hours, so it was worth the money and has already paid for itself.

So much fun, but they break almost immediately no matter how carefully you care for them
This product is so great in theory and my kids had a lot of fun in them for one day. The plastic is really cheap and each cell ripped apart at the seams within a week. It is a lot of money and effort for a one time use toy. We are really disappointed and my 6 year olds cried when I had to throw out their presents from Santa. These balls may be single handedly responsible for my kids no longer believing in jolly old Saint Nick. Thanks, HearthSong.

Very cool toy - allow time to blow it up
I bought this for my nieces who are three and one. They are a bit young for this toy but I like to buy stuff they can grow into rather than something they'll discard in a year. I blew it up and we took it in the living room after opening gifts. They were definitely shocked as the ball is very large. After getting over the initial fear of the ball, they had a lot of fun sitting in it. We kept it stationary so it was easier for them to play with it. It will be interesting to see what they do with it outside in the spring. It took a while to blow it up. I partially inflated each chamber so I could keep it hidden and still fit it through doorways to get it to an open space where I could finish inflating it. Total time to inflate it was probably about an hour. The nozzles were fairly rigid and they have to be squeezed to open the slit so air will go into the chamber. By the end, my fingers were getting sore. I see that as a sign of quality though because there was no sign of leakage once it was inflated. Make sure you get an electric pump. Any other method would be impractical.

not a good product
very good idea and lots of fun for maybe a total of 2 or 21/2 hours. the inflatable pods, or sections, were letting out air and it was deflating left and right. the grandkids loved it but I wasn't going to waste my hard earned dollars [w/shipping about $100] for something that kept deflating and flattening out. while inside the ball my grandson could hear the hissing sounds as sections were flattening out. this shouldn't be on the market for customers as it is a terrible product. however, to the store's credit, I complained and my son sent it back and I received credit for this gift. which I truly appreciated. I had to give it only 2 stars due to it being defective.

My nephews cannot get enough!!
I would give this 5 stars for the amazing amount of fun my nephews have had in this, even in the winter . . . but it is REALLY time consuming to blow up, even with a pump.. Each one of the little bubbles you see has its own valve, so it is a timely process to get them all put together. Then, the ball is massive, so where do you put it once it's blown up and you're done playing with it? You def do not want to take the air out only to have to do it again. Thankfully I have a big yard so in the summer it will just be left out there, but since we stupidly blew it up for Christmas so the kids could play in it, we have been making room for it in the garage - on top of one of the cars, which requires 2 people when parking a car now lol. Don't purchase this without getting a pump! :) Have fun.

Found a bad seam on the inside that caused the leak
I bought this for my daughters 8th birthday. Arrived on time. After reading reviews before purchase I was ready to inflate using my air compressor. There are about 16 individual chambers. Each chamber has it's own valve to inflate. In our case each of the 16 valves was defective in that the flap that is supposed to help prevent air from escaping after filled with air was actually sealed to the valve. I tried to puncture the valves with a nail but that didn't work. Finally had to resort to using a sharp t-wrench screw driver. Was careful to not puncture the surrounding plastic. Once that was complete was able to inflate and was careful not to over inflate. Immediately after completion I noticed air escaping from four of the chambers. Found a bad seam on the inside that caused the leak. Used the included patch kit to repair. It has slowed the leak down but within a few hours those four chambers deflate. I went into this purchase knowing it's a giant ball made of plastic that kids will play with and most likely destroy quickly. Four days of use in the basement it's still holding up so I got what I paid for.
