Best hitch carrier? YES!
Best bike carrier for the price in my opinion. Hands down 100 times better than I expected. Steel is HEAVY DUTY! Could do pull-ups off of it if you wanted. No issues whatsoever so ever carrying our 2 e-bikes and regular bike. So glad I saw this before purchasing one of the flat carriers. Bikes secure very nicely once in place. Very compact when folded for easy storage. Installation is straightforward. Buy it!

Shockingly Impressive
Don't often write reviews, but I just want to throw this out there cause I would've wanted to read it. Overall quality and assembly: I expected this to be lower-quality, I was wrong. This thing is heavy, solid steel, with really solid welds. The bolts holding this thing together are substantial to say the least and all the nuts are locking which is awesome. With that, I would STRONGLY ADVISE that you own a socket set and adjustable wrench at the very least. I used an impact on mine (especially for the main support bolt, but I'm sure that's overkill. Everything else: Really don't have anything bad to say, it folds out of the way perfectly and easily, and its sturdy as any other yakima rack I've owned. The biggest difference I think you'll see when comparing a higher-cost product is the mechanism to strap the bikes down. These use velcro with a V-shaped rubber grip, I found it harder to get around the unique frames, but once I aligned it right they fit snugly. I was worried about the velcro, but it held my bikes at 80 mph with extremely minimal movement so I am happy. I have some heavy beach cruisers and as you'll see in the video they really don't waver much at all. It isn't loud and clanging around either, didn't hear a thing. I saw a couple people say that it made some noise, but i think using the impact reduced it all the way. overall this is a great product for a crazy good price. highly recommend

Nice rack!!!
Look, you need a bike rack to show other people on the highway that you’re active, cool, and living your best life (as far as they know). We just did a 1500-mile road trip with no complaints! The bikes stayed snug and the rack stayed tight all around with nothing loosening. Pros: —Very sturdy. Well-constructed. —Easy to install, assemble (included instructions have mistakes, but it’s easy to figure out). Easier to assemble it on the hitch since the completed rack is heavy and ungainly. —Mountain bikes, road bikes, kids bikes, etc. fit snug into the rubber holders. Even before you strap them in they are barely moving. —Velcro straps and buckles are great. Bikes age snugged tightly to rack. —For shorter trips, you really don’t need anymore tie-downs other than to keep your front stems/wheels from turning. —Rack holds bikes far enough away from vehicle so they won’t rub/scratch the vehicle. —Easily folds up while installed on hitch but not in use. —Easily pivots down while installed so you can open your tailgate when needed. —Included hitch pin screws in tight and reduced rattling. I’d opt for a locking hitch pin which will be quicker to install/uninstall. You’ll also still want to get an anti-rattle hitch plate for longer trips (see blue device in photo). They’re inexpensive but work great—though it’s an extra step for removing the rack. Cons: —It’s a heavy rack so not as easy to take on and off when not it use. — Larger girth bike frames (like some electrics) would likely be OK on this, just not as snug on the rubber holders, so you’d have to do more fastening. —Included instructions had errors, including confusing a permanent bolt with a removable pin, and showing a product with a locking device this one didn’t have, but there aren’t that many pieces and it’s easy to figure out. —The rack will rattle a little in the hitch receiver—but so will anything put into a hitch receiver so just add an anti-rattle hitch plate if you’re going on a long trip (see blue device in photo). A hitch plate makes it a bigger chore to install/uninstall the rack but it would also make it harder for a thief to try to take the entire rack. —The rack is bolted together is a few spots so a thief with PLENTY of time on their hands could take it apart to get at bikes locked only to the rack. When leaving bikes on vehicle unattended, I locked bikes to rack AND ran a cable lock from bike frames to the spot on the hitch receiver for trailer safety chains. —It’s steel so eventually it could have some rust, but touch it up when needed. Your hitch receiver on the vehicle is steel too. People worry about rust too much. This is not thin steel, it’s going to last longer than your bike. It’s actually going to last longer than you too, so take satisfaction in knowing future generations will be using your bike rack when you’re on the Tour de Afterlife. I recommend this bike rack to you and your descendants.

I have used this bike mount for about a year. I have used it to transport 4 bikes with no issue, but the big test was taking two VERY heavy e-bikes to the mountains about 5 hours away. The mount exceeded my expectations, and held the e-bikes firmly. The only issue is that the provided straps are a little bit short for thicker frames. I simply used a tie-down strap to secure the e-bikes to the mount, and it worked great! I've recommended this mount to my co-workers and friends as a low-cost option for transporting bikes!

Really nice bike rack - very HAPPY with this purchase. I was a little worried with the other reviews about the rack being for men's straight bar to hold on rack properly. We put both hubby's bike on and my bike which has the woman's slant bar and it works just fine. We were worried that the angle wouldn't work but it is perfect. My only mistake was I tightened the rubber holders for the bikes wayyyyy too tight and went right through - just tighten to snug - totally MY MISTAKE:) When we get to where we want to ride we just simple pop the hitch off and put into the back of our SUV so no one steals the hitch and bike rack. And yes the velcro straps work just fine, but obviously anyone would be able to steal your bikes no problem. We just don't leave our bikes unattended - no biggie:) Great rack for the price and for our needs - thanks:)

Worth the price, not sure what if it can carry 4 full size bikes. But good for a family.
