ArtBin 6806SA Yarn Drum, Portable Knitting & Crochet Storage, [1] Poly Canvas Tote Bag, Pink

Bag is big & functional. Yarn slots at top are smooth, not rough or jagged to fray yarn. Good heavy plastic zipper. Color is nice. Plan to order another. Nice outside pocket is great to put a picture of the project. Easily handled 3 Caron Big Cakes, but my small afghan throw (72" x 50") & one cake alternatively would fit. Slight smell of plastic - pretty much disapated after an hour. Note - crochet hooks not in a pouch will fall out of external & only pocket as it is one big pocket, but larger items fit secure. Velcro could be added to fix situation, if needed. I did not get the add-on pouch. Better to invest in another one & get a pencil pouch elsewhere.

I purchased this merely because I wanted a smaller, more mobile version of my larger Art Bin (which I love to death.) (I go to the doctor a lot so this is more reasonable that the much larger scale, for me.) This thing is so adorable and I love it. I do wish it was a tad cheaper, but I don't mind the extra few dollars for it is well made and is light weight. Also, this strap is NOT like the straps on the others. It is MUCH shorter and has a clip on it, which I do not mind actually. I can clip it to my purse or even my belt loop of I wanted and crochet anywhere without my yarn getting in a mess. (I was only mentioning it for other customers whom may be curious.) Also, the picture shows the bin being more-so blue than grey as it mentions in the description....it is NOT like that in person. It is definitely grey; a beautiful grey at that I might add. I recommend this to anyone that happens to be on the move and still wants to knit or crochet.

I am so glad I ordered this! I have a big bulky, plastic, not portable, yarn caddy I've been using for years here at home. It's not made to be portable and it doesn't even hold any of my projects, except maybe pot holders!) and I was using a large tote to take my projects with me. I wanted something that looked and traveled better. This one holds my yarn and small projects (up to a baby blanket) so there's no need for a second bag... I usually don't take large projects with me anyway. I love the optional use strap and the mesh pocket on the front of the bag is the perfect size for my double thick zippered crochet case. There was a slight odor, but it was hardly noticeable and went away quickly. Well worth the small price! (And to the reviewer who used cardboard to help it keep it's shape when it's not full... brilliant!)

Received today and it looks very sturdy. It is a bit squished, but I plan on filling it immediately, so shouldn’t be a problem. I love that it has a detachable strap that pivots, so I suspect will be less likely to tangle. I also love the holes on top that allow yarn to come out smoothly as u knit. They are made such that u could pull out the skein through the hole if needed. I really love that option. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 stars is bcos of the wrinkled appearance, which I hope will unwrinkle with time or with a hair dryer. It really seems like a nice bag that I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase a 2nd time.

I crochet a lot of amigurumis and this is the perfect size to bring my projects on the go. It holds one skein of Yarn + small project. But, since many amis use small amounts of different colors, I like to roll small balls off the skeins. This fits many of those. It's perfect for my needs. It'd likely work well for a hat or scarf project as well. Or afghan blocks. The bag itself is a thick material with a good zipper. It has a slit in the top to pass yarn through. I like the short strap - it's perfect for carrying by hand. I like that the material of the bag is more suited to different areas - like I don't worry about damp grass soaking it or sand getting stuck to it.

I love this bag! The quality is great and it fits my Caron anniversary cakes (iykyk) PERFECTLY!!! There are no dividers, which is ideal for what I’m using it for.

The description says the diameter is 12 inches; however, it is only 11 inches. This is why this is important to me. I purchased this item to store my round knitting looms in. I measured the diameter of my largest loom as 11 inches. So, I thought with 12 inches in diameter, this bag would be large enough to store all my looms. However, my large round loom doesn't fit in it. My other smaller looms do fit in the bag, and it is well made so I'm going to keep it until I find can find a 13-inch diameter bag. For storing yarn, or carrying projects around, the bag should be fine.

I used to loom knit a lot. Then I taught myself to crochet. I have so much yarn! I also have cats. If I didn't make sure to put my yarn basket away I would have a frustrating mess to clean up in the morning. I've woken up a couple mornings to find some of my yarn run all through the house. lol The Yarn Drum is the answer to my cat/yarn problem and to problems I didn't even know I had yet! It's so convenient! It holds all of my working balls of yarn and allows me to continue using them while storing them in the Yarn Drum. It has a pocket and a pouch perfect for holding extra crochet needles and a small pair of scissors. I've even taken it on road trips to see our families for the holidays. I left it sitting in the floorboard of the back seat and worked on my project while sitting in the front passenger seat. The yarn dispenses easily! The drum and strap allow it to be carried around easily as well. If you crochet you need this product!!!

Now I don’t know much about knitting let me tell you. But I bought this for my mum who is always good for a woolly hat or two and she absolutely loves it. She took it during a stay in hospital and it held everything she needed. It feels very well made and durable not to mention impressive looking. The colour options are nice and varied although i opted for the pink as it was a lot cheaper than the other colours making it great value for money. So much so that I purchased a second for my wife!

Small but good

Perfect for yarn. Enough big for big works and not too big to be carry! Buy one!

The product itself is good but just to clarify, this is ONLY storage and doesn't have the Yarn. I bought it on tge go and the picture to that extent is misleading. Can't fault the product though - taking one star off for them not outlining on the pic that the Yarn is not included.
