Are the chain rings removable? I don't see bolts from the crank to the gear set. I'm trying to get a higher top speed with a 52 tooth.

No, this crankset is riveted. Meaning it’s only one piece. If you wanna replace the rings look for the Shimano AceraFC M361 ( square taper compatible)
