I grabbed the Chi Barbie Heat Protection while it was half off and am so glad that I did. The smell is divine. It is easy to spray onto hair and leaves hair soft, shiny, and manageable. This is a very lightweight formula that gives my hair some well needed heat protection while making it look fabulous. I haven’t noticed any oiliness while using, but I’m sure like any other product, if you over use you can end up with buildup and oily residue. I have noticed my hair has more volume and isn’t so “flat”. I am in love with this heat protection spray and will be buying more. Worth every penny!!!

It works! I have very fine silky hair with no volume. This spray gives it texture and a lil oomph. It's not greasy at all, but it is a bit sticky. That's probably necessary to make it hold the hair I guess. I've purchased this twice and will continue when I run out. I don't use it every day. Just special occasions like family photos or fancy events. I don't like to tease my hair and this spray is a good alternative. I think it lasts 5-8 hours too.

I really like this heat protectant. I seldom use heated tools on my hair, largely because I have quite long, and quite thick hair, and it takes too long, but when I do, I use a heat protection product to prevent damage and seal the style. My hair is naturally wavy, so it can frizz out or wiggle if there's any humidity. This works really well to seal the hair and add shine, I tried it out on a paper towel before using it on my hair and it prevented the paper from singeing. It has a light, pleasant smell, and doesn't take a ton of product to distribute throughout the hair, which is great since I have so much hair. I have been really happy with it.

I absolutely love love love this heat protectant. It's literally the only heat protectant that works and fully protects my hair. The scent is more manly but I love it. You definitely don't need to use a lot that's for sure. The first time I used it I did what I normally would do. I straighten my hair layer by layer and I usually lightly spray each layer with protection spray. Big mistake!!! Too much equals bad hair day!! Now what I do is I blow dry my hair first then I spray through all of my hair after blow drying then I comb through and allow the spray to sit and dry for a few minutes and then straighten my hair. I haven't burned my hair since using this product. I'm extremely impressed with how well this product works and better yet it doesn't have any Dimethacone in it. Every product I buy has Dimethacone in it which makes my head itch so bad and causes terrible buildup in my hair. This product is now a must have in my bathroom!

I have a lot of fine, straight, hair that doesn’t have much volume is very very rarely ever frizzy. This spray does not work well for my hair type beside protecting it from heat. Over about 6 or 7 tries of amounts and application approaches and trying on wet, damp and dry hair, I end up with frizzy hair every time and it is not enough to hold the curl or my blowout longer than 20 minutes. Then I’m left with crunchy, frizzy, bent hair that tangles easily from the stickiness. I’m honestly surprised that it did not prevent flyaways. I purchased this for a new curling iron that burnt my hair the first time I tried it and my hairdryer brush that gets very hot. It does protect hair against heat burning and has some hairspray hold quality, so I can see how it does work for some other hair types that cooperate well. I will likely only use this now for straightener heat protectant to touch up 2nd/3rd day hair due to how frizzy it makes my hair with blowouts and curling irons.

I really like this product to add volume to my bob on no wash days. I only wash my hair twice a week to avoid dry out. On no wash days, I simply lift my hair with my hands/fingers on each side and the back, and spray. The hair is lifted and volumized and stays in place all day. I dont use a lot and it isnt sticky. When I comb through, I cant tell it's there. I'll buy again.
