Ernie Ball Super Slinky, enough said.
If you need decent guitar strings you can't go wrong with Ernie Ball. I've been using Super Slinky for 30+ years. A tone and quality I take for granted, although it's debatable how much difference there is between manufacturers. I've tried every other brand you can name and still stick with Ernie Ball as they simply can't be beaten.

Good set of strings for a great price
Good set of strings for a great price. Compared to other strings from D'addario, Gibson, and Elixer, these strings are a much better value since they are so cheap. However, in all the years that I have been playing, I have not once said, "man this guitar is great, what kind of strings are these?" Great guitars play and sound great, period, given of course that you are using at least decent strings. I know that every guitarist has their go-to strings, as do I (and the brands and styles vary across each of my guitars), but honestly strings are strings. These days, so much attention is paid to the manufacturing of these strings, that the quality and consistency is great across a number of different brands. Generally, I can't tell much of a difference in tone, playability, or "slinky-ness" across brands. (I can hear the groans now) Hear me out though, if I want to change the tone, I will get a different string gauge, and this is the same for slinkyness. In the end, given 5 sets of top notch strings, I will pick the fresh set vs. a worn set 10 times out of 10. Pros: Very cheap for 3 sets of strings, that means you can change more often, which in turn means that these strings will feel and sound better longer I feel like they definitely last longer than say Gibson vintage strings, but most coated, modern strings will be comparable. Cons: None Conclusion: Strings are strings, and given a good set of strings, I would only base this recommendation on price and great value (5 stars for that). If you are just starting out, I recommend you try a number of different strings to find your preference, but usually in a pinch whatever my local shop has on hand has worked just fine

The best of the best for shredders and heartbreakers
I’ve been using Ernie balls for years. Can’t get a better string and I love the sound when they are fresh. The first week using these on a strat always feels awesome! I use them on everything 10s on my les Paul 9s on some strats. And even 8s and 7s Got some 13s on an archtop epiphone. They always sound great. Crisp and clear. Can’t fault Ernie balls at all. I’ve never broken one. People say they do and I’m like whaaaaaa? I play loads of bends in my style of playing and they never break. And when they do it’s alway at the bridge or the nut which means it’s your guitar… I recommend 9s to anyone playing a strat. They are just right for all types of strat style music… funk to hard rock. If you’ve got a les Paul however I recommend 10s to keep the tension up. But if you’re feel adventurous like young billy gibbons get yourself some 7s they are super wild. Especially for gentlemen and ladies who like to bend supremely. Ernie ball pretty much invented wound guitar strings. The other brands are similar. And some people talk about output changes from difrent alloys in the string but slinky’s have always been excellent. If they don’t have enough output for yiu???? Get a new setup or try the Colbalts. Best value and best guitar string there is. With every gauge option under the sun. ROCK ONNNN YEAAAAAAHHH!!!!
