some parts of the gloves work with the touch screen, but it's not overly easy

It’s not padded but has a thick Alcantara (suede) material on the palms. The fingers have a rubbery grip. The outward part of the glove is well padded on knuckles and fingers. Very happy with them.

Are these breathable in 90+ degree temperatures or are you sweating to death wearing them?

My hands sweat to death in 90+ without gloves, but these breathe a little bit. Just don't be too rough on them as the fabric frays easily.
