It works
I was doubtful that this would product work, as the instructions said to put my wax cotton jacket in the washing machine. The jacket says "do not wash".Anyway, after a few emails to the very helpful supplier of this product, I tried it.... and it works really well! Got my aging wax jacket looking pretty good - still has the holes in it, but I guess that's too much to ask of a cleaner!Just remember to use a cold wash. Recommended

Read the instructions properly
It's the best product I've used, although I had to use it straight from the bottle for the harsher bits of my coat

Excellent cleaning product
Rec'd this item in four days, and made the most of the sunshine today and washed an old Regatta waterproof jacket.After a cold / wool wash; jacket came out looking very clean and smelling a lot better. Will not hesitate in using again should need to.Very pleased with this product. Yet to use the re-proofing spray. Will do once jacket has dried.

Fit for purpose
Despite being aware that my 25 year old waxed Barbour jacket should not be washed in the washing machine, I wanted to give it ago. I purchased this waxed jacket oil skin wash, put my Barbour in the washing machine and put it on a low temperature quick wash. The coat came out clean, stripped of wax and very patchy, however whilst on the line I sprayed the jacket all over with reproofing spray purchased with the wash, this actually softened the jacket but did not replenish the lost wax. My jacket looked in a pretty poor state and ready for the bin but I then purchased Barbour's own wax proofing, which has brought my Barbour back to life.

Good Product which Works
Used it on 2 wax coats which I hadn't worn for a while and it cleaned them up pretty well. Good job.

Great for cleaning wax jackets.
I was concerned about cleaning my wax jacket in the washing machine. However I decided to buy this product and give it a go. In addition to the instructions on the bottle the seller enclosed a personal message with further information. I did as instructed , using a cold wash and rinsed twice. It worked really well. After drying ithe jacket out I used a spray to waterproof it. Extremely pleased with this product.
