Great collaborative game!

Cooperative game suitable for all ages. Easy to learn mechanic. Pieces are of good quality for the price. It can be a fast game depending on how much talking is done every round.

Basic idea without getting into details is to lay down tiles as if you’re building businesses in a downtown area. You try to place them so they ‘make sense’ e.g. if you’re laying down a “pet store” would it go better against an “ice skating rink” and a “supermarket”, or is it better next to a “pawn shop” and a “bank”. One player makes his choices, and the rest of the players together try to guess what that player decided. Points to to the entire team based on how well they guess. Fun to play, but at times it all seems a bit arbitrary. Still, fun to play with kids. I would never try this with all older players, just doesn’t have the challenge I would expect.

Less family friendly than I expected. Why is HOURLY MOTEL in the game? Definitely threw that tile out after my 10 year old read it.

We love Links City: Great collaborative game, funny and at times irreverent depending on who plays it and in what spirit. I played the French version a few times over the holidays and then procured this one when I came back States-side to feature at my game nights - great success. This is a light-mood game, perfect to wrap up a more rules-heavy session that ended earlier, or if you have kids between 10 and 20. One of our favorites, no contest.
