No, these net lights are not waterproof. They are outdoor rated, however, to function normally under customary wet-weather conditions. In other words, you can leave them out when it rains and expect them to work normally. But they may not withstand sitting in pooled water or under cascades from an overflowing gutter (for example).

storage How do these 'fold' up to store ? Do they tangle once off the shrubbary .

I have had no problem with tangling as I remove from bushes. They fold up nicely & I put them back in the box for storage on a garage shelf.
